This website

This site (homebasemoney.vsvn.net) is informational only. It does not set cookies, run analytics, or collect any personal data. It is not the app itself — Homebase Money is desktop software you build or download and run entirely on your own machine.

The software

Homebase Money has no account system, no server component, and no network calls tied to your financial data. Everything you enter is stored in a local SQLite database on your own disk, and nothing is ever transmitted anywhere.

The local database and any backups you create are not encrypted. Per-profile PINs restrict who can use the app day to day, but they are not encryption, and anyone with direct access to the database file or a backup can read it. This is disclosed here and in the app itself so you can make an informed choice about where you keep backups, particularly if you sync them to a cloud folder.

License

Homebase Money is released under the Unlicense (public domain). See the LICENSE file in the repository for the full text.
